simple and furry

one of the things i'm going to miss the most about our old place is this amazing rooftop with views of the entire city. with summer slowly fading away into oblivion, i find myself wishing for sunnier weather while pulling out tights and sadly realizing how unused to cold weather my body has become. {sad face}. knowing me, i will still manage to wear the shortest skirts and sheer paper thin blouses even in zero degree temps { i DID go to university in Vermont after all }

im still holding out for an indian.....fall? where everyday will be 85 degrees, dry, and sunny. a girl can dream...

some pleats, a little animal and a green blazer

blazer- zara, tank top- h&m

hi guys. i know i've been so terrible with posting. i've just had so much going on. this is what i wore on the final day i was in paris when we visited the tuileries and ate lots and lots of bread { my favorite thing}. it made me so sad to leave a place that gives me so much inspiration and is so full of joie de vivre.
this tanktop makes me feel like paying someone to stand beside me with a fan just to get that billowing effect. i liked keeping the colors simple but mixing it up a bit with different textures and prints. i have a huge blazer/vest addiction and when i saw the color of this i almost died! the cut, the color and the silky feel of this makes it so unique and feminine. we ran around the city until i found it in my size. {we actually only went to one other store...and it was right next door. but drama is much more exciting!} hope you liked the outfit! i'll be back soon with the things i loved the most about paris. thanks so much for all your lovely comments!!

golden

as much as we all love the look of heels, a girl's got to have some staple flats! this was a very casual day for me, but those can also be the best times { especially when you have blinding shoes on. } i must admit, i find my wardrobe getting more and more neon as the weather gets warmer. i had also been searching for a leopard print bag for AGES and finally found the perfect one in france. plus a robot ballerina necklace. what's not to love. swoon.

how about you guys? do you live in heels no matter how much they make your feet hurt? or do you reach for flats when you just want to prance and dance around in meadows and lakes?

orangina!

sequined vest-edward youngan, blouse-milly,orange skirt-zara, blazer-BCBG, fringe bag- meli melo, flats-repetto, watch-swatch, bracelet-vintage from egypt, sunglasses, rayban
happy monday to you all!
hope each of you had a wonderful pollen filled weekend. we were volunteered to help some friends move from one part of paris to another: up 6 flights of stairs....with no elevator....so obviously i wore this! { i actually did help...though i told everyone i could fly and they were a bit disappointed when i didn't pull through }

this actual weekend that just passed i was in NYC { my second home } to help my sister pick her wedding dress. it was a very emotional moment for me, to realize she is actually getting married and wont have time to devote all her energy to me (jk...im obviously the youngest child). she looked absolutely STUNNING in her dress...it was a bit out of control.

the outfit: i was fortunate to find this edward youngan sequin vest a few years ago in NYC that i could not pass up because hello: sequins + vest = the holy grail of clothing for me. as i've said before im a huge fan of black and white with a bold splash of color so i paired it with a simple silk top and a skirt so bright i felt like planets were orbiting around me. and here you see another one of my swatches. i've wanted a white watch for some time and when i saw the illustration by Enki Bilal { a french comic artist } it was a wrap. i love the fringe bag as well. i can never stop playing with it.

stripes, fur...and a little rant

striped sweater- h&m, white blouse- calvin klein, black skirt-american apparel, fox fur-italian, purse-zara, shoes-michael kors
ladies and gentlemen....it hailed today. i mean little blocks of ice falling from the sky.
yes, it's april and we're well into "spring" { if you can call it that } so you can imagine how shocked and appalled i was to open my window to a hail storm { and possibly a glimpse of the first horse rider of the apocalypse }. i just want to go outside and get a kit-kat bar without crying a little bit into my jacket first. le sigh.
the get-up: i stuck pins into my voodoo doll of winter...so i figure it will be warming up soon. that being said, i decided to focus on some of the reasons i actually like cold weather: crisp long sleeved shirts, very warm sweaters, tights galore and muted color palettes.
